Lilae Design is registered and operates from Cyprus. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it. Because Cyprus is a member of the European Union, everything described here aligns with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 — the General Data Protection Regulation — as well as the national data protection framework administered by the Office of the Commissioner for the Protection of Personal Data (Γραφείο Επιτρόπου Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα).
What we gather and why
When you place an order, get in touch with us, or browse our website, we may collect a few categories of information:
Your name, delivery address, telephone number, and email — the basics we need to process what you have ordered and to reach you if something comes up. Payment details are handled entirely by our third-party payment processor; we never see, store, or have access to your full card number or banking credentials. We do keep a record of past orders and any product preferences you share with us. This helps us avoid asking you the same questions twice and lets us tailor suggestions if you come back. Our website also gathers anonymised usage statistics — things like which pages get the most visits and how long people tend to stay. None of this is tied to your identity. We use it strictly to make the site easier to navigate.
How your information gets used
We stick to what is necessary. Your data supports the following, and nothing beyond it:
Fulfilling and delivering orders you have placed. Keeping you informed about the status of a delivery or responding to questions you have sent us. Processing payments and maintaining accurate account records. Refining how our services work, based on real patterns rather than guesswork. Sending newsletters or promotional updates — but only when you have actively opted in. You can change your mind on that at any point, no questions asked.
We do not sell your data. We do not rent it out. We do not pass it along to other companies so they can market to you.
Keeping your data safe
Personal information sits behind restricted access controls. Only team members who genuinely need it to do their jobs can view it, and they are bound by internal confidentiality obligations. Online payments travel through encrypted connections provided by PCI-DSS certified gateways — the same standard used by major banks across Europe.
Cookies
Our site places a small number of cookies on your device to keep things running smoothly — remembering your language preference, for instance, or making sure the shopping basket works as expected. We also use analytics cookies to understand general traffic patterns. These do not identify you personally. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and we will not hold it against you if you do. Certain site features may just behave a little differently without them.
Your rights under GDPR
Because we operate within the EU, you are entitled to a specific set of rights regarding your personal data. You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you. You may have inaccurate or outdated details corrected. You may request that we erase your data entirely, provided there is no overriding legal obligation for us to retain it. You may object to or restrict certain types of processing. You may withdraw consent — for marketing emails or anything else — whenever you choose. And you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Commissioner for the Protection of Personal Data in Nicosia if you feel we have not handled your information properly.

Third parties we work with
A handful of external partners help us with payment processing, delivery logistics, and email communications. We share only the minimum data needed for each service, and every partner we work with is contractually required to meet GDPR standards. We do not permit them to use your information for their own purposes.

We revisit this document periodically. When something meaningful changes, we will update the text on this page and adjust the date at the top. For significant revisions, we may also notify you directly if we have your contact details on file.
